PrideStart Group is a Voluntary Community Organisation that provides various Community Development Services to the Black Ethnic Minority (BME) communities particularly Refugees and Asylum seekers in Westmidlands.
Our group fosters collaboration across sectors Employment, Health,Education,Families Welfare,Youths development and Social-Cultural and Economic growth in order to meet the holistic needs of immigrants or refugees descendants from immigrant or refugee people belonging to ethnic minority in Westmidlands.
PrideStart Group work with community-based partners,Local Council,Public and Private Sector to provide Advice and Guidance,Support and Create recreational activities for young people and families by advocating,engaging,empowering and increasing local capacity to respond to the social,cultural and economic problems among local communities.
Our current activities include advising people on social welfare system, unemployment support and training,addressing equality and diversity ,raising awareness about Mental health Issues, alleviating poverty and encourage local community members to participate actively and directly in our activities and play the key roles, in order to develop their skills,confidence and breaking social cultural barriers.
We support people facing people facing social economic problems,language barries,poor intregration skills,cultural indeferences with limited social skills and confidences. We offer Social economic, Cultural and Educational programs i.e. Employment supports training and Job search events, recreational and Sports activities, Arts, cultural activities and career advices and events for immigrants or refugees or descendants from immigrant or refugee families, people belonging to ethnic minority communities in Birmingham City.

Our Aims and Objectives
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for Immigrants and refugees by Community Consultation, Public Education, Settlement Assistance and Community Services. We are an association of individuals who assist individuals and families with adjustments, Settlement and Integration.
• Through collaborative efforts, Promote Unity, share diversity and voice concerns.
• Through Leadership Development Information, and Training Workshops, assist members to integrate into the British Society;
• Through Cooperative Relationships with Community Members and Service Providers, Promote Community Development;
• Through Anti-Racism Education and Liaison with Community Members and Service Providers, Promote Positive Race Relations;
• Through the Provision of Settlement and Community Services assist individuals and families to integrate and adapt to British society;
• Through orientation and information, assist families and individuals Midlands to access Government and Community Services and programs;
• Through interpretation, translation and documentation services, facilitate and assist individuals and families;
• To Promote, Protect and enhance Immigrants and Refugees communities’ interests;
• To initiate Social and Economic Development Projects that establishes more employment opportunities in Immigrants and Refugees Communities;
• To bring together all Immigrants and Refugees Communities regardless of their Political Beliefs, Gender, or Age into a framework of Mutual Cooperation in solving common problems through concerted effort;
• To organize Educational Conferences, Seminars and Workshops on Immigrants and Refugees communities; West To encourage members and organizations to undertake or provide voluntary support for the purpose of furthering the mission of Immigrants and Refugees communities;
• To raise awareness of the needs and pressing issues affecting Immigrants and Refugees communities;
• To undertake Educational and Developmental Projects and Programs that assist in the development of the people of Birmingham the To act as a catalyst for networking between communities, with other community groups, and networking with other organizations to make them aware of our expanding group.
